The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP)
has announced that September is National Dental Infection Control
Awareness Month.
OSHA Dental Staff Training
OSHA tells us that dental staff should have “regular” training. OSHA requires dental staff training upon initial hiring, whenever a new material or a new dental device is introduced and recommends OSHA training at least 1 time per year.
Have you scheduled your dental staff training in the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings this year? Have your dental staff been trained in the NEW Hazard Communication Standard that went into effect on June 1, 2015? If not, it is time to set up a dental staff training session for your office.
Sharon Kantor Bogetz, MBA, ME.d, dental consultant at Cutting Edge Practice provides dental staff training. She can come to your office and present a 2-hour program on Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings and OSHA training, which includes the New Hazard Communication Standard. This can also be done by video-conference. Call Sharon at (847) 370-9131 or email her today.
